Canoe Polo Worlds Results 2008

The 8th World Canoe Polo Championship 2008 saw the largest competition staged outside of Europe to date.

A total of 50 teams competed in the final rounds in Canada the 3 categories of Men,

Women and U21 Men.

World Canoe Polo Champions 2008:

• Men – Netherlands

• Women – Great Britain

• U21 Men – Great Britain

ICF Rule Update Now available

Hi All,

Happy new year and I hope you are all looking forward to a great year of polo.

The ICF Referee Update for 2008 which has been extensively discussed by senior referees around the world since May last year is now available on the ICF Website at link . These clarifications will shortly be sent to all National Federations and will be referred to in the first update for Canada 2008 which will be distributed soon.

Canoepolo.mobi

Browsing the Canoe Polo forums is now possible on most handheld phones, PDAs etc. By going to canoepolo.mobi , a custom skin for the forums is loaded which is very small on download size so makes it much much quicker and cheaper to view the forums while out and about - just in case you need to access some info or can't get to a computer and need your daily fix!

......And the winner is (unsurprisingly) Deventer KV from the Netherlands for the Men's category!
Here are the names of the first 3 teams classified:

DEVENTER KV (THE NETHERLANDS)
CONDE SU VIRE (FRANCE)
C.N. POSILLIPO (ITALY)

In the Women's category, the 2007 European Champions are the Ladies team from Goettingen, Germany.

The first 3 teams classified are:

GOETTINGEN (GERMANY)
ST. OMER (FRANCE)
FOA XCLUSIVE (GREAT BRITAIN)
